Radio took back the driver's seat in the fourth week of a back-and-forth contest with TV traders to lead the way in the weekly FCC filing tally. Three transactions were valued at 10M of more and another, for a 13-station upstate Michigan small-market group, moved almost 5M for a 54% stake.

A WB Okie from Muskogee, KWBT-TV, is joining Tulsa's CBS outlet KWBT-TV in a 14.5M TV duop transaction. Cascade Broadcasting Group is selling to Griffin Communications.

Radio Deal of the Week
Radio One gets number two for St. Louis
Is Radio One getting a second FM in St. Louis from Emmis in return for some local color as Emmis looks at acquiring MLB's Washington Nationals? Who knows? But it'll pay 20M to combine Emmis' WRDA-FM with its own WFUN-FM.
