Zimmerman Partners Advertising bolsters executive team

Explosive growth that sets Zimmerman Partners Advertising on the path to double their size by 2006 has let the agency bring in national industry talent to add to their already impressive roster of personnel. Zimmerman Partners Advertising, Omnicom's retail specialist, has named Fred Zuckerman to Vice President of Media Services, Stuart Dornfield to Creative Director, Cliff Courtney to Chief Strategy Officer and Marc Rappin to Group Account Director.

"With 200 million in new billings since the first of the year, we're on the fast track to double our billings in another 18 months," said Jordan Zimmerman, the agency's founder and chairman. The new accounts include The Vitamin Shoppe, Wickes Furniture, Amazing Savings, TradeStation, Musicland and Kane's Furniture. "Because of our expansion goals, we had to bring in the best talent in the industry that not only have a proven track record of performance, but also understand and embody the key principles of our agency."

Among the new executives at Zimmerman:

* Zuckerman formerly held the same title with AutoNation. He has 19 years of blue-chip client and agency experience, spending the last seven years creating the media service organization at the world's leading automotive retailer.

* Formerly President and Creative Director with Gold Coast Advertising in Miami, Dornfield built his reputation energizing leading retail brands such as Office Depot, The Sports Authority and Levitz Furniture.

* A new position, Courtney will oversee new business development and set strategic direction for key agency accounts. Prior to joining Zimmerman, Courtney was SVP and Director of Marketplace Planning at GSD&M, an Omnicom agency in Austin, Texas.

In 2001, Omnicom acquired his former agency, Courtney & Watson Advertising.

* A vet of Foote, Cone & Belding NY, Rappin will focus on Zimmerman's Office Depot account.

HQ'd in Fort Lauderdale, Zimmerman, an Omnicom Group Company, is currently the 17th largest agency in the US.
