Wow. Three weeks into August, and total radio trading value has yet to break into double digit millions. Or even come close -- the figure you see below (under the click) is the new high for the month. Television deals have kept the broadcast total respectable, and this week was no exception. Fisher's move into the Bakersfield television market put at least modest bulk into the bottom line.

TV Deal of the Week
Fisher lands one in Bakersfield
CBS KBAK-TV 29 Bakersfield is headed to Fisher Broadcasting from Westwind Communications in a deal that is sweetened by a low power Fox affiliate, KBFX-CA 27. The price is 55M.
Radio Deal of the Week
Going for broker
Media Services Group broker George Reed, who recently bought a radio cluster in Charlottesville VA, is also branching into the Caribbean. His MSG Radio is getting WIAC-FM San Juan from Luis A. Mejia for 4M, the top radio transaction of another slow week.
