ABC Sports Sales adds KC Royals

Kansas City Royals announced ABC Regional Sports Sales, a unit of ABC National Television Sales, will be the sales agent for the Royals Radio Network, in addition to its ongoing representation of the Royals Sports Television Network (RSTN).

The Royals Radio Network is the third largest network in Major League Baseball and currently consists of 84 stations throughout the region. The network includes stations in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas, South Dakota and Wyoming. The Royals also televise 114 games on the Royals Sports Television Network (RSTN) each season, reaching over 2.1 million subscribers in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

WHB-AM will continue to be the Royals flagship radio station in Kansas City and will broadcast 15 Spring Training games and the entire 162-game regular season schedule. KZPL-FM will also continue to simulcast all Royals games that begin at 7 p.m. Central time or later.

Beasley launches HD2 in Philly

If you're attending the NAB Radio Show in Philadelphia and happen to have an HD Radio multicast receiver, Beasley has launched an HD2 companion to WRDW-FM. The commercial-free music channel showcases new dance music.
