For the third week in a row, station trading as filed at the FCC topped 100M (this time just barely). And for the third time in a row, television was the driving force, this time accounting for almost 90% of the value in a relatively slow week. Besides the big Wichita agreement chronicled below, this was the week Tribune announced its 17M Albany sale.

TV Deal of the Week
Sunflower grows in greater Wichita
Schurz Communications, under the name Sunflower Broadcasting Inc., inked an agreement for a four-station flagship-satellite television operation serving the far flung Wichita market. The flagship is CBS KWCH-TV, with outposts in Ensign, Goodland and Hays. Seller Media General collects 73M.
Radio Deal of the Week
Radio vets saddle up way upstate
Watertown, high up on the map of New York, will be the southern extremity of Community Broadcasters LLC, the new group formed by Jim Leven and Bruce Mittman. They're getting seven stations in the Lake Ontario/St. Lawrence River area from Clancy Mance for 5.423M.
