New Vision's 330 million bucks agreement to acquire nine television stations in four markets from Montecito, which itself had acquired them from Emmis not that long ago, headed up trading in a week with three other television transactions and almost no action on the radio side. Television trading shows more signs of coming out of its post-6/2/03 stall.

Stations in four markets passed through the Montecito Broadcast Group on their way from Emmis Communications to Jason Elkins's New Vision Television. NVT gets CBS KOIN-TV in Portland OR, Fox/CW KHON-TV, KHAW-TV & KAII-FM in Honolulu HI, NBC KSNW-TV, KSNC-TV, KSNG-TV & KSNK-TV in Wichita KS and NBC KSNT-TV Topeka KS for 33OM.

The sports empire of Dan Snyder, based on the NFL Washington Redskins, will improve its coverage of the franchise's southern extremities with WLRT-AM in the Hampton portion of Norfolk-Virginia Beach-Newport News. At 950K, it's the top transaction in a slow radio week.
