The newest entry into the cable sports wars, Fox Sports 1, kicked off 8/17/13, but if it’s been drawing viewers away from the granddaddy of cable sports networks – ESPN – it’s not showing up in the ratings.
According to a report in SB Nation, ESPN is claiming a 13% increase in ratings since that very date. More importantly, its primetime score is up 20# from a year ago.
