The Nielsen Company announced additional clients for its new US Radio Ratings Service, due to deliver its first ratings for 51 small markets in August. The best known of the new clients is ESPN Radio, which has signed a multi-year subscription to the Nielsen radio ratings.

“ESPN is proud to participate in the launch of the Nielsen radio service. We have a long history of supporting innovative research and look forward to reviewing the first set of audience data when it is released in August,” said Dr. Tom Evans, VP Audio Research and Special Projects for ESPN.

Two media agencies have also signed up for data from the Nielsen “sticker diary” ratings service: Schnucks Creative Services in St. Louis, MO and Meridian-Chiles in Lexington, KY. ESPN and the two agencies join the original clients, Cumulus Media and Clear Channel Radio.
