EstrellaTV up to 77% US Hispanic households coverage


Liberman Broadcasting Inc. (LBI Media) announced that its national Hispanic television network, EstrellaTV, has inked an affiliate deal with Pappas Telecasting Companies in the Yuma, Arizona/El Centro, California market. EstrellaTV is now being carried on a digital multicast channel of KSWT-TV (CBS).

Yuma/El Centro is the 36th largest US Hispanic TV market, representing 64,350 Hispanic TV households. Now present in 36 markets nationwide, EstrellaTV says it reaches approximately 77% of US Hispanic households. Adding the broadcast on KSWT’s digital channel 13.3 has increased its affiliate count to 27. EstrellaTV already has a presence in Arizona through an affiliate agreement with Belo’s KTTU-TV (MyNet) Tucson, and in California through two owned-and-operated stations and six California-market affiliate deals.

KSWT will have the backing of LBI Media’s wholly owned national sales organization, Spanish Media Rep Team (SMRT). SMRT, made up of a highly trained group of professionals who sell spot advertising exclusively for EstrellaTV owned-and-operated and affiliate stations.
LBI Media produces 60 hours of original programming each week for EstrellaTV from its Burbank studios. EstrellaTV’s shows range from musical-variety, comedy, drama, talk and game shows to daily national newscasts and news magazine programs.
