With her divorce settlement from Paul McCartney, Heather Mills could no doubt afford to buy tickets to a Whitney Houston concert. But since she’s a radio listener, she can hold onto the cash.
The UK’s Evening Standard newspaper reports that Mills was the winning caller over the weekend to win a pair of tickets to Wednesday’s concert in London. “Heather from Hove” was picked at random as the winning caller to a Heart FM show hosted by Paul Hayes. As Hayes spoke with the caller, it gradually dawned on him that he was talking to a celebrity. “It suddenly clicked – the Geordie accent, the address she gave me and, of course, the name,” he was quoted as saying.
A spokesman for Mills later said she called on impulse to win the pair of tickets for a friend and her 82-year-old mother.
