The official line from NBC Universal is that sales are on track for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The New York Post, however, quotes unidentified ad execs as saying that the Peacock net is running $150-300 million behind its sales target. The tough economy is cited, along with concerns about pro-Tibet protests against the Chinese government. We would note that the New York Post is owned by News Corporation, which also owns NBC rival Fox.
