Ex-WGN Radio host trashes Tribune

Steve Cochran is not going quietly after being dumped from the 1-3 pm slot on WGN-AM Chicago. He’s lashed out at Sam Zell, Randy Michaels and everyone else now in charge at Tribune Company in an interview with Chicago media columnist Robert Feder.

In his Vocalo.org blog, Feder gave Cochran a public forum to unload on WGN Program Director Kevin Metheny and everyone above him in the Tribune organization – and indeed he did. “I didn’t like what they were doing to the radio station and let them know that with regularity,” said Cochran in one of his milder comments.
