After nearly three years of deliberation, the FCC released AM revitalization-related actions late Friday. It includes an easier way for AM owners to get FM translators.
Specifically, the commission adopted six proposals to help AM owners and discussed further proposals in a Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking. Further, in a Notice of Inquiry, the agency poses questions about possible further use of the AM expanded band.
