The FCC is putting the finishing touches on its next FM allotment auction, due to take place this summer on 7/23/15.
In all, 131 CPs will be up for grabs.
At quick glance, they are mostly located west of the Mississippi, and 63 are located in the state of Texas.
The FCC put a freeze on any station modification applications that would in any way affect the allotments that will be on the table, including, among other things, changes in class, channel or location.
Excepted are stations in the reserved band, as the auction involves only facilities at 92.1 MHz or higher.
The FCC is now accepting comments on standard auction procedures.
