FCC call center up to the task


With the mini-DTV deadline looming all day 2/17/09, the FCC fielded 28,315 consumer calls at 1-800-CALLFCC, up about 8K from the day before. Today, from midnight to about 11AM, there have been less than 7K calls. The FCC says with the underwhelming volume, it’s been able to get to almost all calls immediately. The call center fielded 11,819 calls Friday 2/13/09; fielded 8,178 Saturday; 7,324 Sunday; and 20,673 Monday.
