FCC collars three Massachusetts pirates

A $10K Notice of Apparent Liability issued to a trio of individuals who had been plying the FM waves without a license from towns on the south side of Boston MA has been upgraded to a forfeiture notice in the absence of a response from any one of them.

According to the FCC, Delroy Johnson, Paul Parara, and Richard Parara had been operating a station on 97.5 MHz from the towns of Dorchester MA and Hyde Park MA.

It looks like the threesome will share in the payment of the $10K – they are fined, in FCC terminology, “jointly and severally” – as opposed to apiece.
