The sneak preview that came out awhile back indicated that the next FCC Open Meeting, scheduled for 12/16/09, would focus on elements of the national broadband plan. The official release – just made public – confirms the sneak preview.
The FCC says the meeting “will focus on the policy framework for the plan.” The plan is due to be completed 2/17/10.
Meanwhile, National Journal says that a House Energy and Commerce subcommittee is believed to be planning a hearing on the FCC’s floater on repurposing television spectrum for broadband use. It wants to get it in ahead of the FCC meeting. However, at the moment nothing is officially on the schedule.
