The NBP is due Wednesday 3/17/10. The FCC March Open meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 3/16/10. Guess what the topic of the meeting will be.
Commission staff will present the actual plan, and the five commissioners will vote on a “Broadband Mission Statement,” which will summarize the goals of the FCC’s broadband policy.
There are no other items on the agenda at this point.
RBR-TVBR observation: There are not likely to be any additions to the March agenda. The NBP is a huge project, and the FCC has been very focused on getting it done. But not everybody at the FCC – others have been putting time in on the Quadrennial Review and other matters of interest to broadcasters, like localism and diversity proceedings. Maybe we’ll start seeing such items show up on the monthly meeting topic lists now.
