FCC May agenda looks quiet

Acting FCC chair Michael Copps put out a tentative agenda for the next Open Meeting, pegged for Wednesday, 5/13/09, and it looks like a snoozer as far as broadcasters are concerned. The only item of remote interest is on fiscal 2009 regulatory fees, which is pretty routine. Another item addresses IP-enable service and the only other deals with local number portability.

RBR/TVBR observation: Of course, the FCC dropped the latest broadcast bombshell, the initiative to promote rural radio, between open meetings. So you should never nap to soundly where the FCC is concerned.
