FCC opens the LPFM window wider

TowersProspective LPFM applicants only lost a couple of days of filing window time due to the government shutdown, and the FCC is being more than accommodating when it comes to making up for lost time.

The window was originally scheduled for 10/15/13 through 10/29/13.

The back end has been moved all the way to 11/14/13.

A webinar for applicants that was lost to the shutdown has also been revived.

The FCC stated, “Additionally, the second LPFM webinar will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT. The session primarily will be a question and answer period where potential applicants can ask Media Bureau staff their specific questions on areas such as the LPFM Channel Finder, creating a CDBS account, completing Form 318, and any other issues related to the LPFM window and the filing process.”

The FCC added, “The webinar will be broadcast live over the Internet at http://www.fcc.gov/live and will be archived for future reference. Participants can submit questions by email prior to or during the webinar to [email protected] or by Twitter using the hashtag, #LPFMquestions. The Bureau will respond to as many questions as possible during the session. Open captioning will be provided.”
