The next Open Meeting on the FCC calendar will proceed as advertised, and as such, holds only minor interest for members of the broadcast community.
The session is scheduled for Wednesday 3/20/13 at 10AM eastern.
The interest, such as it is, will be contained in a report from the Office of Native Affairs and Policy on the Commission and its work last year with Tribal Nations and Native communities. Among the topics will be radio broadcasting. That is the beginning and the end of the day’s broadcast activity.
The other agenda item concerns the reliability of 9-1-1 service, which will feature a rulemaking based on an earlier report from the FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau.
