FCC Seeks Input on Next-Gen TV


ATSCLogoAt the NAB Show last week, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said the commission would take action on the ATSC 3.0 proceeding by the end of this month.

The agency has begun a proceeding to authorize the use of the next-gen television standard.

In a public notice, the agency seeks comments on a petition from a consortium that includes NAB, CTA, the AWARN Alliance and America’s Public Television Stations.

Comments are due May 26 to GN Docket 16-142.
