FCC Seeks More Charter-TWC Data

The requested data gives the industry insight into how such a deal may affect streaming video services.

Specifically, the agency seeks documents from the companies on how they treat their streaming competitors.

The commission is asking how services like Netflix, Dish and Amazon have affected the customer base for both Charter and TWC and whether the companies have blocked those streamers.

How have cord cutters affected the Charter and TWC business models, the commission has asked.

The agency asks for the data to be submitted by Oct. 13.
