FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler has remained relatively quiet, following last month’s 3-2 decision, on party lines, to largely maintain the Commission’s 41-year-old media cross-ownership rules.

At 10am on September 15, we may finally get to hear from the Democratic head of the FCC – in the form of in-person testimony delivered to the Senate Commerce Committee.

Wheeler, along with fellow Democratic Commissioners Mignon Clyburn and Jessica Rosenworcel, and Republican Commissioners Michael O’Rielly and Ajit Pai, have been summoned to Room 253 of the Russell Office Building for a Capitol Hill hearing to be convened by Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), who chairs the Senate Commerce Committee.
