Federal Criminal Investigation Of ANA Members Opens

On Sept. 27, The Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation has commenced a criminal investigation into media buying practices.


The Association of National Advertisers (ANA) addressed the matter in a letter distributed Wednesday (10/10) that discloses contact by the FBI to the ANA’s outside counsel and how the industry association “will not play a coordinating role” on decisions or information between or among member companies.
