We’ve reported FEMA has been conducting regional tests leading up to the next national EAS test. The regional tests will go through the first half of 2016. New FCC rules regarding station action upon receipt of a National Periodic Test message go into effect July 30.
The Program Management Office of FEMA’s Integrated IAWS had scheduled a webinar for the exact date and time as the event mentioned above. In the webinar that was postponed until Dec. 9, Officials plan to discuss the FEMA IPAWS lab which offers a controlled environment in which to test alert and warning technologies to assess capabilities and effectiveness with IPAWS.
