Fifth week; ABC’s ‘Nightline’ No. 2 among total viewers

For the fifth straight week, ABC News’ “Nightline” was the No. 2 program among Total Viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research for the week of April 19, 2010. “Nightline” also placed 2nd among A18-49 for the week and tied CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” in the A25-54 rating (1.2). Additionally, “Nightline” is solidly in 2nd place season to date among Total Viewers, with 3.83 million.


“Nightline” continues to cut the total viewing and A25-54 gaps with NBC’s “The Tonight Show.” Compared to the same week last year, “Nightline” cut the Adults 25-54 gap with NBC by -39% and total viewing gap by -30%.

ABC News’ “Nightline” is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Martin Bashir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.
