Finale: 'Skating With The Stars' a champion to be crowned

Who will survive elimination this week, and which of the three remaining pairs will move on to the finale?

The penultimate episode of “Skating with the Stars,” the three remaining pairs – Bethenny Frankel & Ethan Burgess, Jonny Moseley & Brooke Castile and Rebecca Budig & Fred Palascak — perform in a group skate, then each of the pairs performs one individual free skate, testing their ability to devise an inventive routine on their own.

At the end of the episode, two pairs will remain to square off in the Season Finale, “Episode 106,” on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 21 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET).

Creative director and judge Laurieann Gibson will be choreographing an incredible performance number to “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart” by Alicia Keys, featuring fellow judge Johnny Weir and three of our world class skaters — Jennifer Wester, Denis Petukhov and Keauna McLaughlin. At the end of the evening, a champion will be crowned.

Last week on “Skating with the Stars,” fan favorite Brandon Mychal Smith made a dramatic exit due to illness, and none of the remaining celebrities were eliminated as a result.

Dick Button, Johnny Weir and Laurieann Gibson are the judges; Vernon Kay is the host and Tanith Belbin is the commentator for the show, from BBC Worldwide Productions.
