The string of days in retreat ended at three, with stocks gaining on Wednesday. Worries about European economies were eased somewhat by an important court decision in Germany. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 276 points, or 2.5%, to 11,4515. Broadcasting stocks joined in the advance.
The RBR Radio Index was up 0.336, or 0.1%, to 274.017.
The TVBR Television Index was up 5.669, or 3%, to 196.119.
