Financial Markets Thrust Forward On Thursday

0

It was a stellar Thursday on Wall Street for most major issues, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 174.22, to 20,578.21, and the Nasdaq Composite was up 53.74, to 5,916.78.

But, the troubles continues for Spanish Broadcasting System as Cumulus Media stemmed its downward trajectory and Beasley Broadcast Group and Emmis Communications each enjoyed strong sessions.

SBS shares were off another 8.2%, to 45 cents, as the company announced that it had a strong Q4 2016 but is working with a team of financial and legal advisors in evaluating all options in executing a comprehensive recapitalization plan.

BBGI shares were up 3.9%, to $13.40 — just 20 cents high of its year-to-date peak seen in late March.

Emmis shares were up 10.5%, to $2.53, as the company’s stock rebounded to its highest value in more than a month.
