WENR Corporation has dreams of kicking off its own financial television network, and says it has interest from a number of cable operators. Now it has established a base of operations via an agreement with Ngensolutions which will allow it to program Channel 43 KELM-LP in Reno NV.

WENR will use the station to develop programming and sell advertising. The two companies say they have until the end of March to get the station on the air.

The company says it is “developing a financial oriented network with a focus on small-cap, bulletin board and pink sheet companies. The format initially will be a profile of small-cap companies using their own promotional footage with in-studio interviews.”

From its Reno base, it plans to use inexpensive internet-based distribution methods to build out a national footprint. “The Company has interest from numerous cable operators to broadcast the KELM programming nationally on their respective basic line-ups,” wrote WENR. “This will be at no cost to the Company. Further the cable operators will sell advertising, which will be shared with the Company.”
