Financial panels on new course for Radio Show

The Dickstein Shapiro financial panels have not been dropped from the 2010 Radio Show Produced by RAB and NAB as you may have read elsewhere – but it is going to be very different from past years.

“They will be a major sponsor,” NAB Exec. Vice President Dennis Wharton said of the Dickstein Shapiro law firm. But rather than opening on Wednesday morning as a stand-alone event, the RAB and NAB decided that the financial panels would become part of the “broader participation” for attendees.

The broadcast finance panels do not yet appear on the list of sessions posted on the show website, but Lew Paper of Dickstein Shapiro told RBR-TVBR that they will be on Wednesday afternoon – one session of CEOs and one of financial panelists. As in the past, Paper will moderate and recruit the panelists.

What is very different is that there will be no separate registration allowed for the financial panels as there had been for the standalone financing seminar. Anyone who wants to attend will have to be registered for the joint RAB/NAB event September 29 to October 1.
