A Sunday fire destroyed the administrative offices of PBS affiliate WNIT-TV Elkhart, IN, which serves the South Bend market. No employees were hurt, but two firefighters suffered minor injuries. The station’s studios, at another location nearby, were not affected. WNIT had already announced plans to move into the former WSBT studios in downtown South Bend, but the renovation isn’t nearly complete yet, so administrative personnel are being put in other quarters in the interim.
