Fired anchor fires back

Alycia Lane, who was fired by CBS O&O KYW-TV Philadelphia after being arrested in New York, has now sued her former employer. The lawsuit claims she was defamed and a victim of gender-discrimination. Lane denied that she struck a police officer and the felony charges against her were dropped earlier this year when she agreed to a process that will clear her record in August if she doesn’t have another run-in with the law.

"We have received a copy of Alycia Lane’s complaint against KYW-TV. The station believes the claims are without merit and will defend the case vigorously in court," the station said in a statement.
