Fisher adding

As manager of “The Daily Buzz” since April, it is hardly surprising that Fisher Communications is now going to air the program in Seattle and Portland. The syndicated morning news and lifestyle program will join the Fisher lineup in those markets this fall.

The young-skewing show will not, however, air on Fisher’s ABC affiliates. Rather, taking advantage of the digital transition, Fisher has launched multicast stations in most of its markets, and that is where The Daily Buzz will do its buzzing: KOMO.2 in Seattle and KATU.2 in Portland. The Daily Buzz will air weekdays from 7-9 am PT, accompanying programs such as “Dr. Oz,” “KOMO 4 News at 11AM” and “AM Northwest,” which are already airing on those multicast channels.

As announced in April, Fisher provides consulting services to ACME’s The Daily Buzz and is licensing certain assets of the program in order to produce unique content to be distributed on both traditional broadcast and newly created digital platforms.

With a contemporary look at news, The Daily Buzz targets the 18-49 audience. The Buzz airs nationwide on 161 stations.
