Multimedia Fisher Broadcasting, which owns CBS KVAL in Eugene, is picking up one of the last remaining Newport Television stations, NBC KMTR in the same market. It will assign the license to a 3rd party and enter into an LMA.

The price of the station will be $8.5M.

The third party is Roberts Media LLC, which will be assigned the right to buy the station. It will then enter into a shared services agreement with Fisher, as well as a time brokerage agreement.

According to an SEC filing by Fisher, Roberts will be responsible for financing the transaction, with Fisher guaranteeing the debt taken on by Roberts.
