DAYTON — A Cincinnati radio industry leader who will celebrate her 20th anniversary at a group of stations iHeartMedia and its predecessor, Clear Channel Communications, have owned and operated for that entire time is getting promoted.

iHeartMedia is naming Kris Foley its new Region President for the South Ohio Region.

As Region President, Foley will work closely with the programming, business and sales teams for all station brands in the Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton markets to oversee on-air and digital programming as well as create new business and revenue opportunities.

She reports to Tom McConnell, Division President for iHeartMedia Markets Group.

“I have worked with Kris for a long time and I’m very excited to have her take on this new role,” McConnell said. “She is extremely talented and a natural leader. Her experience working across all divisions of our company, combined with her knowledge and understanding of the markets within the South Ohio region make her the perfect choice for this position.”

Foley began her career in radio in January 2000 as an AE for WKFS-FM “Kiss 107.1” and WVMX “Mix 94.1,” now Cumulus-owned WNNF.

She then moved to Cleveland, serving as an AE for WGAR-FM and, later, as LSM for WAKS-FM, rising to GSM for the Top 40 station. In February 2013, after having already added GSM duties for Rocker WMMS, Foley was appointed VP/Sales for iHeart’s Cleveland stations.

In March 2016, Foley shifted to Columbus, becoming VP/Division Multi-Market Partnerships.

Her last promotion came in January 2018, with a bump up to VP/Multi-Market Partnerships, Business Development.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be working alongside the strong leaders and incredible team here in South Ohio and I can’t wait to take the region to new levels,” Foley says. “We’re passionate about the role companionship plays in the lives of our listeners and the value we can deliver to our business partners.”
