Mark Follett’s Sovereign City Radio is sending one of its stations to Roger Lonnquist’s noncommercial religious group in a cash-free deal. KJCD-FM is licensed to Fort Benton MT, about 30 miles northeast of Great Falls along the Missouri River. Lonnquist, who was made deal news recently by swapping a Sheridan WY LPTV for a similarly-powered fully-licensed model, mostly operates LPTVs but also holds three FM CPs. The transaction is decribed as a charitable donation valued at $500K, which should come in handy the next time Follett’s organization has dealings with the IRS.
