CBS is celebrating the ratings success of its NFL package this season. Season-to-date, the network notes, "The NFL on CBS" is averaging a national household rating/share of 10.4/22 through Week 9, up 9% from last year’s 9.5/20 and up 14% from 2005’s 9.1/19. "This marks the highest season-to-date ratings average through Week 9 since CBS re-acquired the NFL in 1998 and the highest rating for AFC game broadcasts since 1994 (NBC)," CBS crowed in a note to the press. "’The NFL on CBS’ continues to be the only network to post an increase in ratings, season-to-date," it added.
