Ford has launched a marketing campaign for its 2011 Edge highlighting the benefits of HD Radio Technology. The Edge is set to hit dealerships in the fall and will offer the world’s first automotive implementation of iTunes Tagging in a factory-installed HD Radio receiver. As part of the campaign which launched this week, the automaker has unveiled an 11-week radio ad blitz, which features five 30-second spots that will run from July 13th through September 26th. It also mentions a dedicated Web page for the midsize crossover, which includes a section devoted to HD Radio Technology info and a video at  http://www.fordvehicles.com/crossovers/edge/features/#page=Feature14

The ads will run across 600-plus stations (mostly HD Digital Radio Alliance) in the top 100 markets and tout HD Radio Technology innovations ranging from iTunes Tagging to expanded radio content via HD2/HD3 channels to noticeably better audio quality.
