Forever shuffles the deck

Veteran radio group Forever Broadcasting, steered by Carol Logan, Donald Alt, Kerby Confer and Lynn Deppen, is selling one FM in the State College PA market and picking up another. Headed to Nicholas Galli’s 2510 Licenses LLC is WSGY-FM Pleasant Gap PA for $1.2M cash. It’ll form a three-station cluster with WOWY-FM & WBHV-FM. That will make room for WGMR-FM Tyrone, which Forever is getting from Cary H. Simpson’s Allegheny Mountain Network for $2.5M. It’ll cluster up with WRSC-AM, WMAJ-AM, WQWK-FM, WBUS-FM & WMAJ-FM. Simpson will be getting $1.1M cash and another $1.4M pursuant to a consulting agreement.

RBR/TVBR observation: Perhaps Simpson’s advice as consultant will be to watch out for RBR Founder and Publisher Jim Carnegie. It was Simpson who started Carnegie in the biz with a microphone and a rookie’s compensation package, leaving him to forage for sustenance and glory in the backwoods of Simpson’s Pennsylvania turf. The rest, as they say, is history.
