Until November 2016, Michelle Redberg was primarily known for her experience as a sales executive and marketing specialist for the CBS O&O serving Minneapolis-St. Paul, and later for a spot cable specialist for Comcast Spotlight.
She then jumped from the TV industry to radio, taking an AE position with one of the nation’s largest radio station owners. The move has proven successful: This woman on the rise is now VP/Sales for the market at this radio company.
That radio company is iHeartMedia, which has seen a flurry of appointments in recent days.
In her new role, Redberg reports to Greg Alexander, iHeart’s Region VP/Sales for the Western Great Lakes Region. She will work closely with other cluster VPs/Sales.
Alexander says, “Michelle is one of the bright stars of our company. She has a contemporary approach to leadership along with a compassion for our advertisers and an understanding of today’s marketing and business challenges. Michelle’s passion, skills, energy and drive made her an obvious choice to help lead our strong Twin Cities brands.”
Redberg added, “I am honored to become a member of iHeartMedia’s talented leadership team. Joining this organization has been an incredible opportunity and I look forward to contributing to our continued success!”
Redberg began her professional career in 2004 as an Emma L. Bowen Foundation Scholar and mentee at WCCO-4 in Minneapolis, where she later joined the sales staff.
