Four Key Communications Bills Get Affirmative House Vote

A series of communications bills approved July 15 by the Democratic-controlled House Energy & Commerce Committee this week received enough yes votes in the full House of Representatives to gain passage.


As such, Senate action is now needed to propel the bills into Federal law.

Among the legislation: a bill that would require the FCC to consider, with the input of its Office of Communications Business Opportunities, market entry barriers for socially disadvantaged individuals in the communications marketplace.
