At least four staffers were let go/resigned at CCME/Phoenix on 8/9. Two were there over 15 years and one had just got out of the hospital the day before. The cuts across the country at CCME are being made daily, a few at a time, from what we’ve heard—probably better than the massive bloodletting of the past.
Danny Davis is out at KOY-AM. Bryan Allen was shown the door as well after more than 15 years with Mix 96.9. Jim Wilson, the GSM of KFYI and KGME resigned last week–no idea if it was related to the other two. Billy Michaels of KNIX-FM was also let go. Supposedly more were let go, but no word yet on who.
