White House Communications Director Anita Dunn, who was one of the key administration officials behind the ratcheting up of hostilities between the Obama White House and Fox News Channel, is exiting the position at the end of the month. But it has nothing to do with FNC.

Dunn, whose expertise is in campaigning, never intended to stay on the job but took it on temporarily when predecessor Ellen Moran moved to another post within the administration. Her second in command, Dan Pfeiffer, will move into the role.

Dunn will go back to pursue her partnership is a consulting firm and will continue to advise the president.
