FOXWith THE X FACTOR Top 4 Performance Show, FOX ranked #2 last night among Adults 18-49 (one-tenth behind CBS) and won the night among Adults 18-34 and Teens.


·         THE X FACTOR: 2.6/7, down -7% from last week in Adults 18-49 but even week to week in its core Adults 18-34 demo (2.5/8).

o    Note: There is a strong chance that THE X FACTOR will go up a tenth in the finals among Adults 18-49

o    THE X FACTOR has won the past 8 consecutive Wednesdays among Teens

o    Last night, THE X FACTOR was the highest rated program of the night among Female Teens.

Competition

ABC comedies The Middle (2.2/7), The Neighbors (1.6/4), and Modern Family (4.2/11) all posted their lowest original ratings this season (tie for Modern Family), down -4%, -16%, and -11%, respectively, from their most recent first-run telecasts. From 9:30-11pm, Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012 delivered a 2.1/6, down -9% from last year’s special (2.3/6 on Wednesday 12/14/11).

CBS’ Survivor: Philippines (2.8/8) was down -3% from last week (2.9/8), while Criminal Minds (3.1/8) was up +3% (vs. 3.0/8). At 10pm, CSI (2.2/6) delivered its lowest original rating ever, down -15% from its most recent episode (2.6/7 on 11/28/12).

On NBC, Whitney posted a 1.4/4, up +8% from last week (1.3/4). Following a repeat Guys With Kids (1.0/3), night three of new game show Howie Mandel’s Take It All delivered a 1.1/3, falling -50% from its Monday (2.2/5) and Tuesday (2.2/6) telecasts. At 10pm, Chicago Fire (1.4/4) matched its lowest rating yet, down -26% from last week (1.9/5).
