Fox, Comcast reach pact for Xfinity carriage

A wide range of programming from Fox Broadcasting and Fox Television Stations will be distributed to multiple new media platforms on Comcast’s Xfinity service. The two major media companies renewed a contract that will keep some 22M Xfinity subs supplied with Fox fare.


The programming will be available on regular televisions sets, as well as computers, smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles and internet-enabled televisions.

The deal includes content from 20 Fox broadcast outlets, including 13 Fox O&Os and seven carrying MNT; along with numerous other offerings, such as FX, FX Movie Channel, SPEED, FUEL TV, FOX Soccer, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, MundoFox, Fox Deportes, and Fox Business Network.

The deal includes provisions for the companies to expand their partnership to new platforms as new technologies and systems come into service.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
