Fox freshman hit 'New Girl' solid No. 2 Tuesday

FOX ranked #1 last night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens and outperformed its nearest competitors by +45% (2.9 vs. 2.0 for both CBS and NBC).


NEW GIRL and GLEE were the top two rated programs of the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. 

Among Teens, GLEE ranked #1, followed by NEW GIRL. In addition, NEW GIRL topped the night among Young Men (18-34) and posted its highest rating in this demo since its second telecast on 9/27/11.

At 8pm, GLEE delivered a 2.9/8, down -9% but still won its hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

NEW GIRL followed at 9:00pm with a 3.4/9, down -6%, but #1 in its half hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens. 

RAISING HOPE closed the night with a 2.2/5, down -8% but still #1 in its half hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Competition

ABC’s Last Man Standing (2.6/7) was up +8% week over week but down -10% from its prior average (2.9/8). At 830p, Man Up! delivered its lowest rating to date (1.6/4), down -6% from its last telecast. After repeats of The Middle (1.1/3) and Suburgatory (1.3/3), Body of Proof posted its series low (1.5/4), down -17% from its last telecast.
 
CBS aired repeats of NCIS (2.1/6), NCIS: Los Angeles (2.1/5), Unforgettable (1.6/4).
 
Following the special A Michael Buble Christmas (1.5/4), NBC’s The Biggest Loser posted a 2.2/6 from 9-11p, down -8% from last week.
