FOX grabs 2nd place Thursday, “BONES” solid

With originals of BONES and FRINGE last night, FOX ranked No. 2 for the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens and No. 1 in Men 18-34.


At 8p BONES posted a 2.7/9 among Adults 18-49 and showed impressive increases of +13% versus last week among both Adults 18-49 (vs. 2.4/8) and Total Viewers (9.8 vs. 8.7 Mil.)  In head to head competition in the 8p hour BONES outperformed ABC’s Flash Forward by +69% among Adults 18-49 (2.7/9 vs. 1.6/5).   BONES ranked No. 2 in the hour among Adults 18-49 and No. 1 in Adults 18-34 (tie) and Men 18-34.

FRINGE at 9p delivered a 2.3/7 among Adults 18-49 and grew +5% compared to last week among Adults 18-49 (vs. 2.2/7) and +12% in Total Viewers (6.5 vs. 5.8 Mil.).  FRINGE ranked No. 2 in the hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 (tie) and No. 1 in Teens (tie) and Men 18-34. 

Competition
ABC’s Flash Forward (1.6/5) was low at 8p, up a tenth from last week but down -38% from its average with first-run episodes (2.6/8).  Repeats of Grey’s Anatomy (1.4/4) and Private Practice (1.1/3) followed at 9p and 10p.

On CBS, Survivor: Heroes & Villains (3.7/12) was in line with its recent performance.  CSI (3.5/10) and The Mentalist (3.5/10) were both up (+6% and +3%, respectively) from their last originals in their regular time periods on 3/11/10.

Following repeats of Community (1.2/4), Parks & Recreation (1.3/4), The Office (1.9/6) and 30 Rock (1.6/5), NBC’s The Marriage Ref (2.1/6) posted its lowest rating to date, down -9% from last week and -25% below its Thursday average (2.8/8).
