Fox hit 'New Girl' second-place Tuesday

FOX ranked #2 last night among Adults 18-49 and #1 among Adults 18-34 and Teens.


FOX’s Tuesday comedy lineup returned to higher ratings last night. NEW GIRL was Tuesday’s highest-rated regular program of the night.

GLEE: 3.2/8, up +7% from two weeks ago — its highest Adults 18-49 rating in almost two months (since 10/4/11)

GLEE was also up +10% in Total Viewers (7.8 vs. 7.1 Mil), +3% in Adults 18-34 (3.1 vs. 3.0) and +8% in Teens (3.0 vs. 2.8)

This is NEW GIRL’s highest Total Viewers delivery in almost two months (since 10/4/11)

NEW GIRL was also up +8% in Adults 18-34 (4.2 vs. 3.9) and +27% in Teens (2.8 vs. 2.2)

NEW GIRL won the 9p half-hour in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens

RAISING HOPE: 2.4/6, up +9% in the core demo and up +10% in Total Viewers
RAISING HOPE was also up +10% in Adults 18-34 (2.3 vs. 2.1) and +47% in Teens (2.2 vs. 1.5) – its highest Teens rating since week 2 of the season

FOX ranked #2 last night among Adults 18-49 and #1 among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Competition

ABC’s Last Man Standing kicked off the night at a series-worst 2.4/7 at 8p, down -11% from last week. At 830pm, Man Up! matched its lowest rated performance to date (1.7/4, down -11%). An hour-long repeat of The Middle posted a 1.4/3 at 9p, and Body of Proof (1.8/5) closed out the night down -10% to match its series low.
 
CBS aired the holiday special Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer at 8p (4.0/11, up +3% from last year’s telecast on 11/30/10), a repeat NCIS at 9p (2.9/7), and the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at 10p (4.6/11), which was up +35% from last year’s telecast on 11/30/10.

NBC’s The Biggest Loser posted a 2.4/6, up +20% from last week’s low-rated telecast against the DWTS finale and THE X FACTOR. Parenthood closed out the night with a 2.2/5, up +16% from last week.
